These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of UrStory.ai (the "Service"), operated by 25°N Media. The Service is currently hosted at characters.25media.com and may be available at additional domains in the future. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. Some content available on paid tiers depicts mature themes intended for adult audiences. By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you affirm that you are at least 18 years of age. The Service is not directed to minors and is not appropriate for use by anyone under 18.
If you live in a jurisdiction with a higher age of majority than 18, you must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Service.
UrStory is an interactive AI character platform. You can have text conversations with fictional characters operated by artificial intelligence models. Characters may also generate images and voice audio in response to your input.
All output produced by the Service is generated by artificial intelligence. Characters are fictional. Their replies, images, and voice audio are not produced by, reviewed by, or representative of any real person, even when a character's name, profession, or behavior may resemble that of a real person. Output is generated probabilistically and may be inaccurate, inconsistent, offensive, or wrong.
The Service is not a substitute for professional advice. Do not rely on it for medical, mental-health, legal, financial, safety, or other professional advice. If you are in crisis, contact a qualified professional or a crisis line (in the US, dial or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
The Service is for entertainment and creative use only. Conversations are works of fiction.
We use email-based magic-link authentication. By providing your email address and signing in, you authorize us to send you sign-in links and operational notices at that address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any sign-in link sent to your email address. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account, to keep your account information up to date, and to notify us promptly at security@25media.com if you believe your account has been used without your authorization.
The Service offers tiered subscriptions:
Subscription prices and tier benefits are described at the time of purchase and may change with notice. Payment is processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe and us to charge your payment method the applicable subscription fee on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
Auto-renewal. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period. You can cancel at any time through the Stripe Billing Portal, accessible from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period, and you will retain paid-tier access until that date.
Refunds. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If a feature you paid for is materially unavailable, contact us and we will work with you in good faith.
Changes to pricing. We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel before the change takes effect.
Taxes. Prices do not include applicable taxes. Stripe may collect and remit sales tax or VAT depending on your billing address.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes consistent with how the Service is intended to be used.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe in good faith that you have violated these Terms or that your use of the Service poses a risk to us, to our users, or to third parties.
The AI characters available in the Service — including their names, biographies, personalities, voices, reference photographs, and associated lore — are the exclusive property of 25°N Media or our licensors. You receive no ownership interest in any character through your use of the Service.
You retain ownership of the prompts and personal context you submit to the Service. By submitting input to the Service, you grant 25°N Media a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to process that input as needed to operate the Service, generate responses, prevent abuse, and improve the Service.
To the extent any AI-generated output produced specifically for you in response to your input is eligible for ownership, we grant you a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use that output for personal, non-commercial purposes. We make no representation that AI-generated outputs are original, copyrightable, or free of third-party rights, and the legal status of AI-generated content is unsettled in many jurisdictions.
You may not represent AI-generated outputs as having been produced by a real person, may not use them to defame or harass any individual, and may not use them in any manner that would violate the Permitted Use restrictions above.
25°N Media expressly reserves all rights in the content of the Service against text and data mining, machine learning, and the training, fine-tuning, retrieval, grounding, evaluation, or other input to any artificial intelligence system, model, dataset, or service, whether generative or otherwise. This includes, without limitation, the use of automated systems to extract Service content for the purpose of training large language models, image-generation models, or any other machine learning system.
For users in the European Union, this section constitutes an express reservation of rights pursuant to Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 (the DSM Directive) and corresponding national implementations. You may not rely on the text-and-data-mining exception in Article 4(1) of that Directive — or any equivalent exception in any other jurisdiction — with respect to the Service or its content.

THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES; TO THE EXTENT THE LAW OF SUCH A JURISDICTION APPLIES TO YOU, SOME OF THE FOREGOING EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY.
WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATION ABOUT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR APPROPRIATENESS OF ANY AI-GENERATED OUTPUT. THE SERVICE IS NOT INTENDED TO PROVIDE MEDICAL, MENTAL HEALTH, LEGAL, FINANCIAL, OR OTHER PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL 25°N MEDIA, ITS AFFILIATES, OR ITS LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless 25°N Media, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, please send a notice that complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) to copyright@25media.com with "DMCA Notice" in the subject line. Your notice should include identification of the copyrighted work, the location of the allegedly infringing material on the Service, your contact information, a statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized, a statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury, and your physical or electronic signature.
To report abuse, harassment, or content you believe violates these Terms, contact reportabuse@25media.com. To report content you believe depicts or sexualizes minors, contact us immediately and, if appropriate, also report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at cybertipline.org.
You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by canceling any active subscription and signing out. You may request deletion of your account by contacting privacy@25media.com.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if continued provision of the Service to you would expose us to legal or financial risk. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service will be the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. The application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is excluded.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "effective" date at the top reflects the most recent substantive revision. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the Service or by email where practical. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of a revised version means you accept the revised Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and 25°N Media regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements between us regarding the same subject matter.
